HSE Snow Fest 2017

Event ended
On March 4, from 12 p.m to 5 p.m. HSE students will gather at the Orion slope, at the Kant ski resort (metro Nagornaya), for friendly snowboarding and skiing competitions. This is one of the events organized to celebrate the 25th anniversary of HSE’s founding. Visitors will have the chance to try the best slope in the sports resort free of charge – and can either bring their own skiing or snowboarding equipment or rent it on site.

Freestyle skiing, which is open to everyone, and the downhill skiing and snowboarding contest are the focal points of the event. All participants are offered the chance to learn alpine skiing or snowboarding with HSE Extreme Sports Club instructors. The Downhill contest is open to all those who have basic alpine skiing skills – you don’t have to be a professional. Representatives of all faculties can compete for the title of the ‘most sporty faculty’ by winning points in the contests and competitions. In addition to the sporting part of the event, there will also be quests and tasks set by the following HSE sports organizations – Ultimate-Club, TourClub, and Student Sports Club.

During the event, students will be able to mingle in an informal setting with HSE staff and teachers. The celebration is organized by the HSE Extreme Sports Club, supported by the Student Initiative Support Centre at HSE.

If you’re interested in participating in the event, all you need to do is register (places are limited!)
